Russell A. Greaves
92, of Carlinville, passed away Monday evening, March 31, 2014 at Friendship Home in Carlinville.
Russell was born on November 28, 1921 to Arthur and Pearl (Parrott) Greaves in Modesto, IL. On September 24, 1941 he married Evelyn Coffey in Bowling Green, MO. Evelyn preceded Russell in death on October 18, 2009.
Russell was a life long grain and livestock farmer in South Otter Township, retiring in 1985. When Russell was not farming he enjoyed fishing, camping and spending time with his family.
Russell is survived by 2 granddaughters, Beth (Steve) Harding of Carlinville and Robin (Steve) Martin of Jonesboro, AR; daughter in law, Barbara Greaves of Carlinville, as well as 4 great grandchildren, Blake and Collin Harding and Alyssa and Luke Martin.
Russell was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Pearl Greaves; wife, Evelyn Greaves; son, Robert Greaves and a brother, Raymond Greaves. Funeral Information
Visitation will be held on Friday, April 4, 2014 from 10:00 to 11:00 am at Davis-Anderson Funeral Home in Carlinville with funeral services following at 11:00 am at the funeral home with Rev. Cliff Woodman and Betty Coffey officiating.
Burial will take place in Charity Cemetery, rural Carlinville. Donations Information
